Teaching and Promotional Trip to India with Participation in the INCON Conference in Pune (16–24 January 2026)

From 16 to 24 January 2026, the Head of the External Relations Office at the University of Applied Sciences in Nysa, M.A. Anna Opałka, carried out a teaching and training visit to India at the invitation of the partner institution ASM Institute (Pune). The visit had a teaching and promotional character, and formed part of the University’s internationalisation strategy and the development of academic cooperation with partners from the South Asian region.

The main purpose of the visit was participation in the international scientific conference INCON 2026, held on 16–17 January 2026 and organised by ASM Institute in Pune. During the conference, M.A. Anna Opałka delivered a presentation entitled “The Impact of Higher Education Internationalisation on the Quality of Education”, actively participating in conference sessions and meetings with representatives of the university authorities and the International Cooperation Office of ASM Institute. A particularly important element of the programme was a meeting with the Chairman of ASM Group of Institutes, Dr. Sandeep Pachpande, and Dr. Asha Pachpande, Founder Secretary and Director, attended also by deans of all faculties. The discussion focused on expanding cooperation and the exchange of academic staff and students, including the UAS in Nysa ISP 2026 event being held in Nysa. The possibility of hosting students from Nysa for a study visit combined with an educational programme within the same calendar year was also agreed.

In parallel with the conference, an extensive teaching programme was implemented. M.A. Anna Opałka delivered a total of 10 lecture blocks for students of ASM Institute across the following programmes: IBMR, Next Gen Study Programme, PGDM-IBMR, MBA – Premium, IIBR, and CSIT. The classes were conducted in the area of Global Management and included topics such as:

  • leadership and personal leadership (including training within the SHUTTLE project),
  • time management,
  • communication in global organisations,
  • intercultural communication,
  • international marketing,
  • the educational offer of UNS in Nysa (including the International Summer Programme – ISP and other mobility opportunities),
  • elements of Polish culture and the functioning of business within the structures of the European Union.

On 18–19 January 2026, M.A. Anna Opałka also stayed in Delhi/Faridabad, where a study visit to Manav Rachna University was carried out. The programme included meetings with university authorities, faculty deans, and representatives of the International Cooperation Office, including Prof. (Dr.) Meena Kapahi, Director of International Affairs and Collaborations. Lectures for students were also delivered, and the teaching infrastructure of the university was presented, including the Faculty of Health and Sports. The aim of the visit was to discuss prospects for further academic cooperation and to promote the International Summer Programme (ISP) 2026 organised in Nysa.

An important part of the stay in Pune also included meetings held on 21–22 January 2026 at Savitribai Phule Pune University. M.A. Anna Opałka participated in meetings with university authorities, faculty representatives, deans, and the management of the International Centre. Discussions were also held with Dr. Vijay Khare (M.Sc., Ph.D.), Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Director of the International Centre. During the visit, she also took part in the Youth Festival organised by Savitribai Phule Pune University, which provided an opportunity to observe student activity and explore potential cultural and educational cooperation.

The implemented teaching and promotional visit contributed to strengthening relations with existing academic partners, establishing new institutional contacts, and promoting the educational offer of the University of Applied Sciences in Nysa on the international stage. These activities confirm the growing role of the University in international academic cooperation and its active engagement in improving the quality of education through internationalisation.
