On 8 December 2025, the University of Applied Sciences in Nysa hosted the award ceremony for the second edition of art competition entitled “My Christmas Story”. The competition, addressed to children from public and private kindergartens in Nysa, was organised by students from Preschool and Early School Education at University of Applied Sciences in Nysa. The event was attended by over 200 preschoolers from Nysa institutions, accompanied by their guardians. The event was honoured by the presence of His Magnificence Rector of University of Applied Sciences in Nysa, PhD Mariusz Kołosowski, Prof. Beata Szymczakowska, Director of the Municipal Education Authority in Nysa. On behalf of the Faculty of Social Sciences, we hosted Dean PhD Professor Tomasz Drewniak and PhD Małgorzata Przepiórka-Kapusta.
To make the ceremony more festive for the children, the competition was accompanied by an artistic performance prepared by students, including a theatrical story about “The land of Ice and Baubles”, combined with dance and vocal-instrumental performances, involving the children in interactive participation in the show. All children participating in the ceremony received Christmas gifts prepared by the students.
