The 3rd Edition of the International Summer School at UAS in Nysa completed!
From June 30 to July 11, 2025, students from Mexico, Egypt, Ukraine, Algeria, Kosovo, India, and Poland took part in the third edition of the International Summer Programme organized by the University of Applied Sciences in Nysa. The two-week programme included intensive academic classes, lectures, study visits, and a cultural programme.
Participants had the opportunity to explore selected topics focused on practical skills and contemporary global challenges by enrolling in one of three available courses:
1. International Strategic Management – Lecturer: Dr. Scott Venezia, CETYS, Mexico
2. International Business Analytics – Lecturer: Dr. Geoffrey Dick, St. John's University NY, USA
3. Implementation of Artificial Intelligence into Studies – Lecturer: Prof. Alejandro Quintana Vega, Universidad El Bosque, Colombia
In line with the format of this year's International Summer Programme, students also attended open lectures delivered by lecturers from partner universities in the USA, Colombia, Kosovo, Armenia, and from the University of Applied Sciences in Nysa:

- “Business Corporate Analytics”, Geoffrey Dick, St. John's University NY, USA
- “How to Become the Purple Cow”, Alejandro Quintana Vega, Universidad El Bosque, Colombia
- “Wind Energy Development in Kosovo: Sector Overview & Future Prospects”, Bukurije Hoxha, University of Pristina, Kosovo
- “Macroeconomy and Social Spheres of the Countries”, Liana Ohanyan, National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia
- “Where Do Our Clothes Come From? Global Garment Industry – The Case of Bangladesh”, Sebastian Zatylny, University of Applied Sciences in Nysa
As part of the programme, a study visit to Schattdecor was organized, offering participants insight into business operations and innovative solutions applied by the company. Additionally, students took part in numerous cultural and integration activities that enabled them to build international networks and connect with fellow students and lecturers. The programme provided an ideal environment for the development of intercultural competencies, interpersonal skills, and practical knowledge in the fields of international management, finance, artificial intelligence, and related disciplines. Moreover, participation in the programme enabled students to earn 4 additional ECTS credits, which were recognized as part of their ongoing studies.
The International Summer Programme proved to be a valuable educational and cultural experience for students, lecturers, and the university itself. It created opportunities for further collaboration with international partner universities in the fields of student and staff mobility, as well as in the organization of joint educational projects.
